Rant and Rave

So I finally get to do something for myself- Massage Envy. Last month my massage person tells me that she may be cutting back her hours or if she couldnt she would have to go.

Well today she tells me that she is leaving. I still have a few months with Massage Envy before I can try and follow her.

I have had the same hair dresser since I was 12. I only change doctors when my insurance has to change. I have had the same dentist since I was a kid. I must not lose my masseuse.

So I have to put up with someone else through the rest of my contract and then I can go out.

WAAAAAAAA!

Easter 2009

DuPont has a easter egg hunt every year, to which we have taken Catie ever year since she was born. Of course her first Easter she was not quite a month old so she had lots of blankets on and Daddy got a couple of eggs for her. But as the years went by she was able to get them herself.

And the other thing that always stayed the same was the weather. It was cloudy and just when it was time for Catie's group to start, here comes the rain.

The people planning this hunt decided that the 0-3 year olds needed to be on the baseball field. So here are parents running through the baseball diamond to get the kiddos to the eggs. There were so few eggs that some kids didnt get any. We always stop at 5 eggs and bring a few suprises of our own to add as a secret.

So here are some pictures- She had fun getting the eggs and of course the candy. Afterwards we had hotdogs and life was good.

Doctor Visit

Ok so the doctor says I need to reduce my stress and get some exercise. So I join a gym and do Yoga- thinking it will be easy- WRONG!

Then I meet with the trainer to show me around. He made me do too much showing me some of the equipment and now wants me to pay buttloads of money and come 3-5 days a week. I tell him that I can do 2 days a week on machines and 1 day of Yoga and he aint listening.

Why do they never get the idea that customers know what they want and just want the help to get there????

Doctor and Dentist Visit

So Catie went for her 3 year well child check and everything was fine, of course. We have been blessed to have the same doctor since her delivery so everytime we see the dr. she cant belive how cute she it. She must get that from me :-).

The dentist however was a different story. When I took her for her 2 1/2 year check she was so good and they were even able to clean her teeth.

But this time the hygentist showed her the really loud suction thing and it hurt her ears- which are sensitive since the tubes and all- so they were barely able to look at and count her teeth. She has no cavities and we are keeping her teeth very clean- Boy that fighting over the sink some mornings is really worth it!

My appointment didnt go so well. When they took my blood pressure the bottom number was too high so the dr. told me I need to reduce my stress- yeah right like that will happen, eat a low sodium diet which I pretty much do anyways and get exercise. Thank goodness the school district just announced this great deal with LA Fitness so I can join a gym and they have childcare.

So I have been ordered to have that number lower the next time I go to the dr. which I hope is not until my physical next year. My meds seem to be working- I do get some extra anxiety from time to time but I have been fortunate enough that there has been someone there to help me get back to reality.

So I sign up tomorrow for the gym and will be at a yoga class at 830 Saturday morning. Oh man, I dont have anything to wear. Off to Old Navy I go :-)

Getting Pictures can be so.....

We love the Picture People- The photogs are great at getting good shots and smiles and all that stuff. Well, Catie did not want to cooperate or smile or do pretty much anything that the photog or Denny or I asked her to do. Chicken nuggets and chocolate milk didnt even work as bribes. But here is a good one of what we were able to get.

Catie's 3rd Birthday Party

So we had our big blast at Odyssey 1. All the kids had a great time playing in the climbing and ball area. We had lots of pizza and soda followed by Madagascar 2 cake. By the time we were opening presents Catie was tired and cranky but she had a great time with all her great toys she got! She has played with all her toys already and now I have to go through the old ones and see what we dont need so much anymore. The tough part is to do it without her seeing what is leaving!

I was not feeling well and Denny did a great job taking pictures and all the parents and Dorothy and Lori helped out so much!

So I will be putting up pics so everyone who could not be there can see what fun we had!

Birthday Party

It was a great success! Although I was down with vertigo that lasted 3 days all the kids that came had a great time with Catie. She was a little overwhelmed and cried through the presents opening part. But when we got home she sure had fun playing with everything she got.

Then the big boys went and played lazer tag for their birthday. They had a great time and I know they will want to go again.

Catie was very happy to have cousin Abbey come to her birthday!
