Typical Ride Home

So yesterday I pick up Catie from daycare after work and we are riding along our way home. Then she says she wants to go get Pita. Fighting back the instant tears I ask her "Where is Pita?" Catie says "He is sleeping." I asked her where is he sleeping and she says "In Heaven" So again fighting back my tears I say lets blow kisses up to Pita. So she does about a million kisses and say I Love You Pita. I say We love you and miss you Pita and then life went back to normal, thank goodness. It has been a while since he passed away so I think she is doing very well with it. Buster loves all the attention and the new toys so he is doing great too.

Madagascar 2 is Coming!

Ok so we are big movie fans but we got some great news when we saw on t.v. that Madagascar 2 is coming out on video on Feb. 6th. We took Catie to see the movie and she has been telling us the movie scene by scene pretty much every day since then. We try and appease her with the first Madagascar but she is not fooled. Luckliy I have a meeting in Renton that day which is 2 blocks from a WalMart so we can watch it that night. She knows it coming on video but luckily she does not know dates yet. I was thinking of having a countdown but she would drive us crazy with all the counting.

I finally got all the pictures printed out and ready to be put in order and in her book. I stopped being so on top of this at about 18 months so I caught up before it was too late. Know I just have to stay on top of all the upcoming events and get them in the book.

The Loss of a Wonderful Friend

Sunday January 11th Pita left us and went to Heaven. Everyone who knew Pita loved him and how could you not as he loved you back.

Pita lived a very long life full of car rides, ice cream cones, popcorn bowls to himself, camping trips and too many toys and treats to count. He also got a little brother in 2004 which gave him more spunk. Buster and Pita loved each other and also bugged each other at the same time.

When David and Denny came to the family Pita was not too happy but came to love them just as much as they loved him. Then in March of 2006 I brought home a baby that stayed and grew up. Pita was very protective of Catie when she was a baby. If she would cry when I was not in the room the dogs would come and get me with Pita in the lead. He learned to love her more as she ate big people food and spilled lots for him to clean up.

We knew that Pita was getting older but it is still a very sad time, mostly for me I guess. Catie still wants to get treats for Pita and when she saw a picture of him she tried to take him out of the picture saying "I want Pita." Buster is still looking for Pita and wont leave anyones side. He has gotten lots of new squeaky toys and extra treats and love. We had a dinner in celebration of his life with chocolate cake to top it off. David bought a lucky bamboo that holds Pita's tags for us to remember him.

Denny handmade Pita's casket, Catie bought 3 roses and made a picture for Pita to put with him. We found our favorite pictures and put them in with a card from me. We know that Pita is in Heaven with Bob and all of our loved family and friends running and playing and waiting for us.

Pita, we love you always and miss you everyday. Christi, Catie, David, Denny and Buster.

Catie and Santa 2008

Here is Catie visiting Santa Claus. She has been smiley every year but this year is her cheesy grin.
So I started this blog and then never did anything with it. Isn't that how it goes when you have kids.

Now that Christmas is over and all the snow is gone we are getting back to normal, finally.

I am going to put up some Christmas pictures. Catie got stuffed animals, the Little People Bus and Car plus some airplanes that she can play with Daddy and brother.

Until I have more time,
